Depot Gallery

The 1909 train depot has been transformed into an exhibit gallery that celebrates our county, it includes both permanent and changing exhibits. Exhibit portions include: a viewing gallery for the short film, “The Land They Overlooked”, which tells about the Oregon Trail coming through our area, a railroad ticket office space, post office, newspaper, Oregon Trail and more..

The Umatilla County Historical Society was organized to collect and preserve historical objects and stories unique to the Umatilla County region and uses them to strengthen present and future generations’ understanding of that history through exhibits and diverse programming.
