Join us for the second Terrific Tuesday movie of the summer!
In 1952 Jeff Chandler spent quite a bit of time in Pendleton, he was here to film The Great Sioux Uprising and was well known by the staff at the Rivoli Theater. Mary Jo Price was a teen working at the Rivoli at the time and her stories about Jeff inspired us to show the movies he filmed while here.
In August we will be showing The Great Sioux Uprising which was filmed on location in Pendleton in 1952. This movie stars Jeff Chandler and Faith Domergue. There will be a special speaker to introduce the film.
Heritage Station Museum would like to thank the Rivoli Coalition and Wheatland Insurance for their support of these two events.
A Word from the Rivoli Coalition…
The Rivoli Restoration Coalition is excited to cosponsor two upcoming Terrific Tuesday film screenings. The Rivoli Coalition is a nonprofit dedicated to restoring the historic Rivoli Theater and transforming it into a performing arts and cultural center in downtown Pendleton. The Coalition recently received $1.5 million in State funding which will allow them to complete the next steps in the restoration process. These film screenings offer a glimpse into the Rivoli’s past as we prepare for its future. See less
